The Perfect Girlfriend

Juliette loves Nate.

She will follow him anywhere. She’s even become a flight attendant for his airline so she can keep a closer eye on him.

They are meant to be.

The fact that Nate broke up with her six months ago means nothing. Because Juliette has a plan to win him back.

She is the perfect girlfriend. And she’ll make sure no one stops her from getting exactly what she wants.

True love hurts, but Juliette knows it’s worth all the pain…

Driven by revenge and psychosis, Juliette is a character that will make you laugh and fear.  Juliette’s distorted mental perceptions allow the reader to watch her scheme and come undone in some highly unpredictable ways.  Her clever antics kept me highly engaged from start to finish.

The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton is a dark, satisfying read.  The pacing is perfect.  This is not an edge of your seat kind of thriller.  Instead it takes you into the head of a truly unstable woman who is obsessed with her ex-boyfriend, Nate and his sister Bella.  She will stop at nothing to be his perfect girlfriend which is sinister in itself.

Juliette is moving too fast for Nate, so he finally convinces her to move out of his house.  She takes what he says literally and gives him the space he requests.  She doesn’t contact him in any way.  Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean she has moved on.  Instead, she weaves her way back into his life through careful plotting and planning.  She is relentless.

I loved this book.  I read it in pretty much one setting.  I needed a book that would get me back into a good reading place.  This book was perfect.  It’s not a difficult read making it perfect for my state of mind.  Juliette is an amazing character that I would never want to meet, but I sure enjoyed reading about her.
